B M Hepburn Ltd first started trading in the 1960s with just one man and a labourer. Brian Murray Hepburn, the Managing Director of the company, had learnt the trade for several years until he branched out on his own.

Over the initial years, the company began to grow slowly with more men being employed as projects started to come in and the name of the company became known, due mainly through word of mouth over quality and efficiency.

B M Hepburn Ltd then started to expand into what it is today, setting up a fully equipped office with a surveyor, estimator and computer system operating a quality control system.

It was (then) in 1978, that the company became limited, operating a quality system so that the company could offer the best possible service in the full scope of drylining, plastering, screeding, cornice and moulding works.

Next year, the company is due to celebrate its 25th year in trading as a limited company, with it becoming a very much family-run business. Brian Hepburn now has both his sons employed within the company, both mastering the trade in and out of the office and hoping to carry on the business for many years to come.
